i have got a wireless internet connection from reliance. their internet access modem can double up as a cell phone as well but only when connected to my system.
my home land line phone +91(472)2802028 was malfunctioning from 20120414/15 night onwards. the dial tone was replaced by a booming noise.
I booked a complaint from my reliance cell number and then tried ringing up my landline number from the reliance phone and I made a movie of it and that is what you see above.

the response coming from my land-line phone on dialing from my reliance number is that that telephone is “temporarily out of service”.
it raises some questions from an ignoramous like me: ( fools always ask questions, no? )
why temporarily;
WHY NOT, PERMANENTLY ?
and how come that

while it is "out of service" !

12:28:39 PM I had just connected to the net and accessed the manorama page and the adsl was cut off. 12:29:30 PM the adsl light is on again. and I am going to switch of the modem and restart the modem. 12:41:14 PM another disruption connection cut off again. I think every time I try to access a new web page the pimp has to close the connection and reconnect again. 12:46:25 PM again connected. a long time at registering the computer on the network – could be that is the time taken to manipulate and routed through the black hole of the secret police “officer”. another type of delaying tactic is connecting through WAN miniport.

right now I have switched on the adsl modem: and it got lit up in the first attempt - otherwise it almost invariable takes more than one chance.
for the last couple of days the telephone was “temporarily out of service”. I had registered a complaint on the automatic fault booking system and had left it at it.
there is not much of a point worrying about the telephone connection for it does not make any difference if I have such a telephone connection or not.

all the time I am typing this in I have been keeping a watch on the adsl led and it has not gone of as yet. i.e. 12:26:01 PM GMT. now let us see what happens when I connect the LAN - nothing happened.
and I have removed the lan and the dialer has kicked in.
the fact of the matter could be that I had not made any calls on the phone even after finding that the phone was functioning and the pimp did not anticipate me logging on to the net.
the pimp is back in action – this time the adsl led failed at the first attempt and at the second attempt was lit up.
and having started it is going to continue except when a subcontractor's mail is there for me to read or some such thing. but I never open such mail. they go to the right place it deserves – TRASH.
