EXTERNAL
WIRING IN TATTERS : PHONE No.472-2802028
CUSTOMER
ID:4013847942
1.
this is not a complaint – just an
effort on my part to put things on record.
2.
the external wiring of phone no.472-2802028 is in tatters
there
is more than sixty meters of ordinary telephone wire extending from
an electric post on the road to my house where the telephone
no.472-2802028 is located.
I
got a complaint ( no.16031584892 )
registered with the bsnl's automatic complaint booking system at
1453 hours on march 31, 2012 of the line going dead. later in the
evening I saw the external wire broken into two
lying on the road outside. I tied it up and restored the
connection that night itself.
the
telephone official concerned landed up on april 03, 2012 to enquire
about the above complaint. I showed him the break where it has been
joined up and suggested to him that the line be repaired properly and
pulled up tight to avoid it getting entangled on to vehicles coming
up. the gentleman agreed and told me that he will be coming with his
assistant to do the work. no body ever turned up.
about
a week later the line broke off at another point further towards the
house and I rejoined it again. this time I did not lodge any
complaint – where in the point !
As
matters stand right now, there are two joints on the line on the
external wiring where it was repaired by a person who is clueless
about the technicalities of such things.
3.
this ordinary telephone wire of more than sixty meters is coming
up a steep incline and to keep it from sagging on to the road below
has to be tied tightly. could it be that the tension on the wire and
the wt of this long a stretch of wire is resulting in (metal)fatigue,
causing the cable to break, I was wondering.
the
house where the telephone is located though
small, is a permanent building ( no. V/168 of karakulam panchayath )
and I own it. I am planning to stay over here permanently.
and from my side, I intend to keep the telephone.
in
deed, I had long back, suggested to the telephone company in writing
that the external wiring be replaced once and
for all by underground cable. as a
permanent solution to the problem.
4. what
is happening to the adsl “broad band”
internet connection that is supposed to be existing on this line
will be obvious to any one who would bother to look up the usage
details at the self care portal – that is provided that particular
page is not “under maintainance” as is its usual wont.
thank you very
much !
