I had logged on to the net a few minutes back – had a look at the manorama news paper – shifted to hindu had seen the kerala page of the hindu and was looking up the mullaperiyar news from the tamil side and noticed that the adsl led had gone off. the dialer was unaware of the fact - I pulled out the lan card and the dialer kicked in and I refused to redial. the adsl led had got lit up by this time and I switched off the power supply of the modem.
my view of things
I am firmly convinced that my net connection is being routed through the indian pimp service's system which is acting as a proxy server. and the connection is through the lan. so my computer will come to know of the fact that I am no more connected to the net only once the lan is cut off. that way the repeated disruptions will not get recorded on the server as the net connection has been taken over by the gestapo and the gestapo's system is still connected to the server of the isp.
from my part I am not interested in a net connection that ends up in the indian gestapo's mother's arse-hole. I keep a watch on the adsl led of the modem ( the first thing i do if a web page is not loading is to see that the adsl led is on or not) and if it is not working I pull out the lan and ensure that the dialer makes me redial. incidentally this break in the adsl most of the time happens when i am trying to log on to my account with a website say for example, picasaweb.
I was wondering how far I am succeeding in my efforts of making things go on record and so after a period of about more than two months tried the bsnl selfcare portal again. by the way this selfcare portal the bsnl says is to be accessed only through the internet explorer - I wonder why! there are n number of other smart browsers available and ie happens to be the most hacked browser. and you see the result in the screen shot given below:
the site is permanently under maintenance!
couple of minutes back I was checking up this blog and I found that a critical picture on the blog, the one shown above, was not available and had been replaced by something else with the asterix. So I deleted what remained of the picture and was trying to upload the original picture and lo and behold my connection to the net was cut off – this time it was the dialer that told me that the connection has been cut off and whether I want to redial and interestingly both the leds of the adsl and the lan were on!
so I switched off the modem and am planning to try again a second time to upload that critical picture and if possible put it on the picasaweb and give a link on the blog.

I never tried to access the site in between my previous attempt some months back and the present effort – but I have faced the same situation of the site being under maintainance on both occassions effectively preventing me from producing any evidence for the disruptions ( and the details of the data transfer during each episode). could be some body other than the gestapi is piggy riding as well; who knows.
if I approach the bsnl with any problem the blame will invariably be put on my system. incidentally I have a net connection from another company and there again I am accessing the net using the same system as the one I am using for bsnl. and I do not have any of these funny disruptions that is attributed by the bsnl to the problem with my system then. the only difference is that it is a wireless connection ( and that way costlier and something I can ill afford except for acute emergencies ) how come ?!
I know it is not in my interests that I am divulging the above fact for the gestapi ( that is the indian gestapo ) can easily put a pimp specifically to “look after” me on their server as well .
@ 2 mb per second !
now look at what goes on even when I am supposed to be connected through a 2mb per second broad band connection of the bsnl !
all I can do or all that I am managing to do is watch the porn movies from youPorn. the advantage there is that ( unlike the bbc and all) one can download almost every movie, ( may be taking hours, disrupting and reconnecting and resuming and like,) and watch them later on my computer at leisure. one contributing factor could be that there the gestapi and I have a common interest.
this is not a complaint
I am not complaining; there is no point for I am living in one of the worst police states in the present day world.
you are not convinced ? here is an analogy; if some one asks me to find the worst criminals in trivandrum I will not go to the central jail in poojapura but will look up in the posh residential colonies of thiruvananthapuram - the group in poojapura are the ones who couldnt make a "success" of their “profession”.
